My day mostly starts with our cat. She wakes me at 7:30 every morning. We cuddle for a while, then I let her out onto the balcony, where she watches birds like it’s her job.
I make hand-drip coffee with a V60 — one for me, one for my husband.
Sometimes my easily distracted mind makes me boil the water three times. I only realize I haven’t finished making coffee when my husband says, “Thank you for my coffee.”
After he returns from dropping off our son, we sit together for a quiet 15 minutes with a second cup.
Yes, we’re coffee addicts. Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we just watch our neighbors from the balcony.
Then I take my bike and head to my atelier.
Something new these days — I’m opening a ceramic studio in the 18th arrondissement with a friend. It used to be a car garage. Now, we’ve painted the floor, ceiling, and walls — all white.
It’s a 10-minute bike ride from our apartment, with a view toward Sacré-Cœur. Every ride feels like pedaling toward possibility — with a big anxiety wrapped in optimism.
Here is some information about my new atelier place in Paris.

I set alarms for everything — to wake up, to eat lunch, to pick up my son, to go to sleep. Today, I think I’ll add one for drinking water.
When I’m in the studio, I enter tunnel mode. I forget to eat. I forget to breathe.
So I set alarms to remind myself to take breaks — otherwise, I have no energy at home with my family.
After the “pick-up” alarm goes off, I clean up my table and bike to my son’s school.
That’s my favorite moment of the day: him running toward me, beaming, shouting “Maman!” We head to the park together, then home.
Evenings are a small tornado for my son:
Dinner, bath, brushing teeth, toilet, bedtime stories, and finally, sleep.
Then we decompress — my husband and I. We work in the office room, talk about art, projects, and life. We try to get to bed before midnight.
Before I know it, it’s tomorrow.
That’s it… unless I forgot something.
